Tucson Ice Fishing Season Not Effected by Global Warming
It is January in Tucson and the height of our Ice Fishing season is just 7 months away. But it isn’t too early to stock up on the items you will need. Most of our winter visitors miss out on Ice Fishing In Tucson. Come to think of it they miss out on Ice Fishing back home as well if they are in Tucson for the winter.

Rise in Pending Home Sales at odds with local closings
Once again we being treated to a look at the Tucson Real Estate market statistics that does not take fully into consideration the changes that have taken place in this market in the past 6 to 8 months. The main premise is “If the Pending Sales are up then why aren’t the closed sales numbers reflecting this increase in pending sales?”

I’ll do a little analysis here. We learned yesterday that homes with a significant increase in value over a long period of time are weighted down.

I’ll confess, I am contributing to the decline in the Case-Shiller reports. I am one of the reasons the October 2007 numbers on the housing market have declined by a record 6.7 percent. Now here is my question, “Are You Contributing to the Record Decline in the Housing Market Report?”

The S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index report gets a lot of press coverage each month when it comes out. But does anyone you know including yourself take the time to find out what the data reporting criteria is for this report? If you don’t know the basis on which the conclusions are being drawn then you don’t understand the results of what is being reported. Most major media outlets are counting on this.

We see a swing from -27.6% in the Midwest to +4% in the West. A difference of 31.6% in the activity from these different areas of the country. In case anyone might still be confused about where Tucson is located. It isn’t in the East, South, or Midwest. And this is a good thing.
