I’m reading this is the best season for Arizona Wildflowers in 30 years. I’ve been living here for almost 10 years and I’ve never seen anything like what I’m seeing this year. For me, it is amazing and breath taking. There is plenty going on in Real Estate in Tucson right now.
The National Weather Service has decided to change the way the start and end of monsoon season in Tucson will be determined. Till this year it has been by number of days in a row with a certain Dew point. This year they are going to set June 15, 2008 as the start date and September 30, 2008 as the end date.
The State Parks system refers to these as wildflowers. They have a “Ranger Cam”.
The city plants Poppies, Bluebells and other types of flowering vegetation along the highways as a form of natural beautification.
While everyone else in the country is doing the “Spring Ahead, Fall Back” we are just springing ahead with the best wildflower season in 10 years.
