Demolition About To Begin
It wasn’t freezing last night but it was cold. The warm hearts of many volunteers kept the atmosphere one of revelry as the Demolition step of the project got under way. First there was a special surprise (which we won’t go into) which will be one of the funniest parts of this episode.
There were lots of neighbors on hand and lots of cheering as the walls came tumbling down. The jaws already tinged with red as if ready to feast on stucco and steel were poised ready to strike. All that was needed for the feast to begin was the director to say the word “Action”.
It was tentatively scheduled to begin at 8 pm. but as is often the case with theater (and television) it didn’t get rolling till about 9:30 pm.
The hands and fingers were quite cold and I hope you can imagine what it is like to hand hold a small camera, after dark, while shaking and zooming in from across the street. Not bad at all and we have Barbara to thank for staying to see it all come down. Here is a taste of what you will see up close when the program airs (tentatively scheduled for March 22, 2009)
