I was going to make this a short post based on a question I saw in the letters to the editor this week in the “Arizona Daily Star” asking why property taxes were going up if home values were going down. Property taxes in Tucson are figured in arrears and it takes a couple of years for them to catch up. When values were going up taxes were trailing behind.
