Desert Thunder Pro Rodeo Tucson Oct 13 - 14 2007
Looking for something to do this weekend. How about getting on your western duds and heading to the rodeo.
Many people don’t realize there is a Rodeo in Tucson in the fall. Typically people associate Rodeo with Tucson Rodeo days every February.
This is the fall rodeo for two days. It is an opportunity to get those spurs on, cowboy and cowgirl outfits dusted off and out to the rodeo grounds.
The Tucson Rodeo Grounds will be hosting the Desert Tunder Pro Rodeo. This rodeo is where you will find top-notch professional rodeo entertainment. Competition includes bull riding, saddle bronc and bareback riding. All the good stuff barrel racing; steer wrestling and calf roping are also included.
These events start at 2 pm. The gates open at 11 am. and you just might want to get there early. Of course you can shop for western gear and souvenirs.
There will also be junior bull and steer riders to watch.
The Tucson Rodeo Grounds are located at 4823 S 6th Ave. this is just N. of Irvington Rd.
Children 12 and under are free Tickets at the gate are $15.
I couldn’t find any pictures of barrels racing or steers wrestling. Maybe Next year.
The home website for this event is Desert Thunder Pro Rodeo .
Hope you have a good weekend pardner. Now where did I leave that horse and sunset. Anybody know which way is West?
