On The Streets of Tucson

Driving with Polly

You never know what you will see on the streets of Tucson.   A frequent site not seen in many other places are large trucks rigged to carry Saguarro Cactus.   The other morning I was sitting at the corner of Oracle and Magee.   I was in the left turn lane to head West on Magee when I thought I saw a parrot in the drivers seat in the car in front of me.

No way, I had to be seeing things.   But I wasn’t, it flapped it’s wings then started playing a game of “Kiss the Driver Snap Your Nose Off”.   More movement wings flapping in front of the drivers eyes.   I stayed back, way back and allowed them (the parrot and driver) plenty of room to make their turn.   They turned left again into a parking lot a few feet down the road.

Yep, you never know what your are going to see on the streets in Tucson.

  1. Hey, leaving your parrots inside your house isn’t so great, either.

In my market there is a listing that has twenty parrots flying around in it. They have chewed the kitchen cabinets to the point where the whole kitchen will need to be gutted.

  2. Dave Smith says:

    Kermit,

Are you saying your real estate market has gone to the birds?

That’s a new one on me.
