common checkered-skipperYes, you heard it here, there is a butterfly festival in Tucson and it doesn’t mean we all get together and share our favorite recipes for butterflies, or have butterfly tastings.

Did you know there are over 250 species of butterflies in the Sonoran Desert?

On September 29th and 30th is the Tucson Butterfly Festival. It is held at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. The museum’s garden is specifically planted to attract butterflies.
