If you like gems and minerals this is the time of year to visit Tucson.
One of the biggest annual events in Tucson each year is the Gem and Mineral show. It isn’t just a show, it is an event. It is unlike any other event I’ve ever seen. It takes part all across the city from January 26th - February 11th. Here is the Gem Show Schedule. As you can see this is an extensive show of gems and minerals with exhibitors from all over the world. The main theme at the Tucson Convension Center this year is Gems and Minerals of Australia. People from all over the country and some from all over the world make it an annual pilgimage coming to Tucson to find gems and minerals they can’t find anywhere else. They would have to travel to the countries where the gems are located. You can see why this is such a great event. All the great exhibitors and dealers in gems and minerals will be here.
There are dealers coming here each year to buy for their local shops whereever they may be in the country.
If you want to learn more about gems and minerals this is the place to be. There is a wealth of information and knowledge gathered here for this event.
The enthusiasm is high and information is shared freely and openly. You have to know what your are doing, yes there are good deals to be had, but there are equally bad deals as well. You need to educated yourself and not get caught up in a frenzy of buying.
Make a day of it, or a weekend; plan your trip by the shows you want to see from the schedule above. Who knows you might just find that perfect necklace, bracelet, broach or set of earrings.
