2008 Enchanted Snowfall at La Encantada
Last year I wrote about 15 Minutes of Magic at La Encantada. That was my title. It turned out to be a very popular event or series of events actually. It is starting tonight again for this year. Its not really snow but it sure looks like it. The atmosphere is right out of main street in the Enchanted Kingdom at Disney World. Although smaller and shorter, but hey Tucson is a long way from Orlando.
This year the Tucson Desert Harmony Group will have performances in the Main Courtyard between the “snowfalls”. If it is like last year there will be Christmas Music playing during the actual “snowfall”. The scheduled times are 6 and 7 pm. on Friday and Saturday nights through December 22.
I only made it to one of these last year. It was great standing on the upper deck watching the snow fall and listening to the music. There was even a real chill in the air that night which added to the ambiance. I look forward to attending again this year. I hope we can make it to more than once.
