Tucson Lighthouse Tour Canceled

Tucson Lighthouse Tour canceled

There won’t be a Tucson Lighthouse Tour this fall. I’m sorry it was canceled. California still hasn’t slipped into the ocean.

Meaning all our beach front property here in AZ is still just beach. Once we have water, I’m sure a few lighthouses will be built, with Government money of course.

But for 2009 the Tucson Lighthouse Tour is canceled, stay tuned for further notices.   If there is a change in geological conditions we will let you know.

Fall Colors Begin to Appear

With the tepid monsoon rains beginning to abate the sand is turning it’s lighter color for the Fall.

The leaves don’t turn here.   Some do fall off but for the most part there aren’t any real leaves to speak of.

There are restrictions on colors here in the desert so Green is allowed with a permit but must go directly to brown when descending from tree to ground.

The Fall sand is a nice shade of brown and contrasts nicely with the various brown shades of rocks, dead cactus and stucco.

Fall is an amazing time of year and almost makes up for the canceling of the Lighthouse Tour.

Oh well, maybe next year. I really enjoy the fall weather, but as you noted, trees don’t look like they do in other climates. I was amazed the first time I went to Ohio during the fall. It was a refreshing change from the lifetime of Arizona falls (can that be plural?) I was familiar with.

    Jayson,

    True, maybe next year.
