Tiki Torches Brighten the Night
When winter comes we like to put out the Tiki Torches and light them up. Yes it is cold by Tucson standards to be out side in winter, and the torches give off no heat whatsoever, but we like them. Unlike other places that use the torches to keep away misquitoes we don’t have that issue. Misquitoes keep a low profile in Tucson in the winter, they keep a low profile in the summer as well.
Tiki Torches remind us of the ocean and water we don’t have, we have a huge beach, called a desert but we don’t have an ocean, but if one arrives, we have the palm trees and tiki torches all ready.
