It is the weekend in Tucson and there are a lot of fun things to do here as I’ve mentioned before. Some will be out to the movies tonight. Possibly catching the latest movie 3:10 to Yuma where the star is a train but I’m not sure it ever shows up. I haven’t seen the movie (yet) Russell Crowe, Christian Bale and Peter Fonda star in this first Western I’ve seen come out in some time. Do you all remember Silverado? Some people will be out line dancing tonight and some will even be ballroom dancing and having a good time doing it I might add.
Some will prefer to stay home and pursue other forms of entertainment. For those that like to take pictures and sharing them with family and friends in a completely different way there is Animoto. Or are you involved in social networks like MySpace and Facebook there is a new toy for playing with photos and sharing with friends, Animoto.
Take a look at what Animoto can do with just a few images a song and a little time.
Animoto is site where you can kick back and have some fun with your photos.
Doing a simple “Remix” will create a new video with a completely different look and feel.
You can:
- create an account for free
- upload 15 to 18 images
- organize them and select stars from your image
- select music or upload your own
- generate a free video up to 30 seconds in length
- email the link to friends or family
- put it on your blog
- put it on your social network site
For an annual fee of $30 you can create unlimited videos of any number of images or length of video.
I would recommend creating a free account and playing with short 30 second videos to decide if Animoto is for you.
One caveat, you can go back and change the images, change the order of the images, change the music, but the video being generated is random. You have no control over it, which means you can’t go back and tweak it either, not and get the same effects.
Tonight, I’m just playing with it and I have to admit having a blast. One of these days soon I want to create a video tour of a listing to Hip Hop music. That should be a completely different approach to marketing a house, don’t you think?
Have some fun this weekend. Take Animoto for a spin.
