Tucson Winter Golf Monsoon Begins
Tucson Winter Golf Monsoon Beginning
This year is the first time we don’t use a mathematical calculation to compute the beginning and ending of the Monsoon Season.
It was officially set as beginning on June 15 and ending on September 15. In actuality it didn’t start in June and it could be ending a little sooner than September 15th. Most thought it was over after the storms of last weekend blew away and Monday was a clear dry day with the prettiest skies we have seen all summer. But there have been some afternoon showers, like yesterday which were spotty at most and very isolated.
The Golf courses are green and the golf balls are falling from the sky. I took this picture on Monday and it looks like the Winter Golf Monsoon Season is about to begin in Tucson. The Winter Golf Monsoon Season will last from about September 15 and run throught April 15 or a little longer depending on how cold it is back East and North.
