Oleanders are a popular choice for landscaping in Tucson. It can be a bush, a hedge even a tree of sorts. It blooms long through the summer and is hearty against the heat. It tends to be a bit dirty and trashy but even the leaves it drops with flower petals have a beauty of their own.
Many people are allergic to the pollen of the oleander and they are a poisonous plant so don’t go around chewing on the leaves. I hope I didn’t have to warn you about chewing on the leaves. That is a nasty habit to be broken.
