Tucson Photo Blog

Tucson Photo BlogIf a picture is worth a thousand words what are a thousand pictures worth? I don’t have a thousand pictures yet, at least not posted in the new Tucson Photo Blog, but I do have a good start.

Last summer I was in my Tucson Monsoon Cactus flowers mode. Every chance I got I was stopping for a quick foray into the desert to take pictures of the cactus in bloom.

Now it is the best Spring wildflower season in Southern Arizona in 30 years. I can believe it. I’ve lived here almost 10 years and I’ve not seen anything like this. Everyday it gets better. So now I’m in the Tucson Spring Wildflower mode.

If you are driving down the road in Tucson and see some guy with a camera lying in a ditch or with his butt in the air with a camera almost on the ground honk your horn, there is a good chance it is me : )

I can only post a small number of the actual images I take. I wanted to have a place for others to see and enjoy some of the beauty that surrounds Tucson. I know it isn’t real green here, not like it is in other parts of the country (No, Death Valley doesn’t come to mind). However, we still have some green if you look in the right places and we have some wonderful scenery that becomes common place to us but amazing to others who don’t see our mountains and cactus everyday.

The photo blog isn’t exactly what I was wanting. I’m still looking for a better way to display images of Tucson and the surrounding area. For now it will have to do till I find software I like better.

My gawd those are beautiful! I can’t believe how fantastic they are.

I’ve been wanting to take more wildflower photos but now I think I’ll just watch yours.

    Congratulations!
