I had a little time yesterday between appointments so I headed over to Tucson’s Reid Park.
I’ve been to the Reid Park Zoo a couple of times and love it. However, I’ve never been across the street to the pond where the train runs giving children (and adults) rides around the pond and park. This pond is located off 22nd at Tucson Blvd. Once in the park it is right across from the Reid Park Zoo.
I setup at the end of the pond where there are picnic tables and shade. Plenty of birds in the water, on land and some really big birds in the air.
If you want to see water and have a great place to photograph planes as they slow down coming in for a landing Reid Park provides both.
There is no Tucson Air Show this year. However, you can have a lot of fun shooting in the morning and seeing the various aircraft that approach and land almost everyday here in Tucson.
