Wildflowers or Weeds

tucson poppies and bluebells

I guess it all depends on your point of view and a dictionary.

The State Parks system refers to these as wildflowers. They have a “Ranger Cam“.

The city plants Poppies, Bluebells and other types of flowering vegetation along the highways as a form of natural beautification.

But if they are growing in your yard the Home Owners Association will more than likely call them “Weeds” and send you a not so polite letter informing you of a possible fine if you don’t remove them.

It all depends on your point of view.
