Tucson Real Estate Market Are You Nervous
Do you find yourself reading the national and local news wondering what is going on in the Tucson Real Estate Market. Do you assume you know “How BAD it is”. Everyday I see Google searches coming to our sites with search terms like:
- Tucson foreclosures take over real estate
- the tucson housing market is in a slump
- decline in tucson housing market
- tucson declining market
I don’t want you getting depressed so I’ll stop there.
Buyers are nervous because they don’t want to pay too much or buy in a neighborhood where values are going to decline.
Sellers are nervous . . . they’ve been nervous for over a year, take your pick.
Home owners are nervous because they are afraid they are loosing equity. If you fall in this bracket you need to be sure to never buy stocks.
Newer Agents are nervous because many of them that haven only been in the Tucson Real Estate market since 2000 have no idea what this market is all about. A new learning experience and for some a new career change.
Experienced Agents are Tired.
- They are tired because there is a lot of work right now.
- They are tired because they have to deal with a lot of Mortgage people in another state that have no idea what the law is in Arizona.
- They are tired from helping buyers look at the 100th home and they still can’t decide.
- They are tired because sellers don’t understand that 90 days to sell their home is average now. . . YES EVEN FOR YOUR HOUSE.
Lets face it they are just plain tired. But we know this market will change, it always does. The important thing to know is what is going on and how to adapt to the current market and climate. You don’t wear shorts when it is below Zero and we don’t sell many snowmobile suits, snow blowers, or lawn mowers here in Tucson. Knowing the market is essential.
Knowing the change in seasons and what to do about it prevents a lot of nervousness. It doesn’t mean we like a bitterly cold winter or scorching hot summer, but we know what to do about it.
There is no need to chew your straw or suck all the air out of it. No need to over caffeinate yourself or be nervous Tucson has a strong real estate market. As in any market if you pay too much for something, a car, a boat, a camera, a house it isn’t going to hold its value. But a house unless you bought in the past two year, paid too much for it and now have to sell is still a place to live and it will continue to be a good investment in the long term.
