I love this quote from John Strobeck in Saturday’s” Arizona Daily Star” on the Tucson Real Estate Market.
“People want to know when we’re going to back to the other market,” he said. “We’re not. This is our market.”
This is our market. It is what it is given all that has and is occurring in our country economically. New Home Construction is tied to Mortgage even more than it is tied to new construction. If buyers can’t get financing to buy a house then builders can’t sell them.
April produced 1004 closed transactions in the Tucson MLS system. This is very good. There is no need to compare it to last year or the year before. Those were far from “normal” if there is such a thing as normal. John Strobeck has hit this one dead on, out of the ball park. Like someone finally saying, “The Emperor has no clothes”. This is our market. Don’t waste your time looking back to the runaway frantic market of 05 and 06. That period of time did a lot of harm, it is good that it is gone.
