A couple of weeks ago I wrote about three articles that appeared in the “Arizona Daily Star” Business Section. The links to those articles are in the right navigation. The post is on the Tucson AZ Real Estate Blog “Tucson it is way past time to get real about personal finances.”

need cach bankruptcy in your futureThen we got this headline which shines even more light on one of the greatest risks to the economy today.

Bad credit has supplanted terrorism as the gravest immediate risk threatening the economy, a key national research group reported today.

Here is the point. This threat isn’t from outside our nation, it is inside, and at the very heart of our nation.

History bears out that many great nation were not conquered by a superior force or outside influence, they imploded under the weight of their own greed and debt.

    Hi Dave -

Take a look at this graphic:
    http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2007/09/12/us/housinglarge.jpg

It shows how much of the paycheck is consumed by the mortgage in each state… Do you think credit is going to get better or worse? I would say worse as these numbers are way out of whack with reality. It should be AT LEAST 10% lower.

BTW - yiyi.coolcode.cn is really slowing your site down. You probably don’t need to ping China anyway… they already own enough of our homes :)

    bobby joe,

Thanks for the heads up on yiyi, I’ve changed the code on the server to direct to code on my local server.

Working inside the system, I don’t see some of the slowing you as a reader sees. I appreciate the information. I had already changed this on 3 of the other blogs. Must have been interrupted that day and didn’t get back to finishing the change over here.
