Sunset on 2007We bid the year 2007 goodbye.

It was a good year despite what the media has done to make Real Estate the Domestic whipping boy for the year. We expect that mantle will not be passed on anytime soon in 2008. But we will be here to help interpret and provide a guide to what the data actually says and the medias masterful representation of the facts to help sell newspapers and spread a Grinch like atmosphere across the country.

Many in Real Estate throughout the country will be glad to say goodbye to 2007 and don’t let the door hit you in the butt on the way out. The same holds true for the Tucson AZ Real Estate Market. It’s not the market of the past 5 years, but it is a good market despite the indications to the contrary. I look forward to writing about the industry and the Tucson Real Estate News in the coming year.

We will start with a few posts as a media guide to reading what continues to be the onslaught of bad press regarding the Real Estate Industry in the United States. Painting with two broad a brush always mutes the details. Have a Safe and Great New Year and may all prosper in 2008. (Except the media that is) : )

Dave – Thank God 2007 is behind us. The Arizona Daily Star started the New Year with negative market predictions. For most of the county. One note, the West saw a 10.3% increase in sales. I like to compare our market to weather reports. You can’t use Virgina forecasts to predict Arizona days. I think we are going to see a better 2008. Happy New Year.

    Doug,

I agree with everything you have said. Happy New Year! Time will tell, how the market goes, but I’m expecting a positive and strong 2008
