Tucson MLS Major Effort to get Accurate & Timely Data
I mentioned a few days back there is a new policy implamented at the Tucson MLS regarding Status Changes of Listings. This included the change from Pending to Sold. The fine can be up to $15,000.
Being at the end of the month I logged in last night and pulled the closed transactions for January 2008 for the Tucson areas to see how many transactions were entered at the close of business on January 31, 2008. (531). Five Hundred thirty one transactions were entered as closed.
Here is the reminder notice I saw when I logged into the Tucson MLS a few minutes ago.
“Update Your Listings!!
MLS Rules and Regulations require that listing status be updated within 2 business days of the change. Avoid penalty by making sure you update Pending, Sold, etc.
Please make sure all Sales for January are entered into the system by Monday, February 4, 2008 to avoid penalties being issued. Thanks
Now it is time to have some fun. Lets track the closed sales over the next couple of day. Since there is a weekend involved, agents have until midnight on Monday February 4, 2008 to have their closed transactions for January entered into the system before a fine is incurred.

I have a limited posting area of 400 px on this blog. Someday I might change the format of the blog. The graphics I want to post are more than 600 px wide and when I resize them to 400 px I can’t read the data on the graphic. The Tucson AZ Real Estate site was set up with large graphic display in mind with more than 660 px in the post area.
If you haven’t been to that blog take some time and look around. It has some pretty good pictures of Tucson and most of them will show full screen when you click no the image. Pretty cool, Hey?
