I’ll give you a little insight into how we do business and work with our clients.

Service to our Clients is Important

Oh, Yeah, we use a lot of these

Many are from out of state either relocating to Tucson or buying a second winter home as they prepare to retire.  Some have already retired but aren’t ready to make Tucson their primary residence.

They don’t always find the home they are looking for while there are in Tucson personally.  We set them up a client portal with the Tucson MLS.  This means that as new homes come on the market matching their search criteria they are emailed to them so they can view the details at home.

If they find one they are really interested in they will send up the MLS number and we will go to the property and take additional photos, video and even measure rooms if it is that much under consideration for purchase.

Several times over the years our clients will make an offer based on those photos and after talking with us about the property.  If the offer is accepted, they will fly or drive out to Tucson for the home inspection and to see the property during the inspection period (typically 10 days after the offer is accepted, but the inspection period is negotiable in the offer itself).

Oh, what’s that smell?

This is what we were doing yesterday.  We arrived at the property with cameras and tape measure in hand.

I noticed the place had a strong odor to the carpets and the rooms themselves.  Okay, nothing new carpet and a few days with stink busters can’t fix.

I was getting my camera ready to start shooting exteriors when Barbara opened the door to the garage next to where I was standing.  She turned on the light and then turned to me shaking her head and saying “Dave, come here.”

I put down the camera and walked into the garage.  At first I could see the floor was covered in oil and plastic, some of the sheet rock was coming down off the ceiling, then my eyes adjusted to the light and I suddenly felt like I was in the incubation room in the movie Aliens.

Streaming down the walls on all sides were termite tubes that were some of the biggest I’ve ever seen and so many of them it looked like rows upon rows of silly string up and own the walls.

My skin started to crawl and now I had a pretty good idea why the sheet rock was coming down from the ceiling.

I quickly packed up the camera and we made our way to the door.

Once in the car, Barbara made “The Call”  the bottom line on this one RUN!!!!

No photo were taken for obvious personal and legal reasons, (well personal reasons anyway).

Oh you wanted me to say things like. Make sure when you list your home it isn’t infested with Termite tubes, or smells like a litter pan. Maybe a reference to picking up the place or cleaning? Nope, not in this post.

For us it is service with a smile :) and a box of handy wipes.

  1. I dunno if I need to write a comment here but It’s a good decision not to upload the photos.

    Well,

Since I didn’t take any photos, there wasn’t any decision to make. : )
