Run It's a Dog Run
This week we had a listing that was in the top three picks. It was the top of the three. The sellers were excited and we (as usual) were holding our breath. We have learned to never count on anything till close of escrow. But it looked good. The buyers had been back to the house three times getting it into the top position.
They decided to back one more time before making their decision. They stepped out on the back patio had a fair view of the mountains and looked to their right to the neighbors patio as they were going back in the house.
That is when they spotted it. There on the patio was a little fence. A little fence for a little dog to have a place to play and be outside.
They stepped back inside and took the home off the list. It wasn’t moved down the list it was removed from the list.
When I heard about this I decided to drive out and see it. I’ve been there many times and never saw anything like what was described. When I got there, I saw it, pretty much like it was described over the phone.
You just never know what is going to make or break a decision in this market. This time it wasn’t even a dog, it was evidence their might be a dog. Sometimes that’s all it takes. It could have been a play area for the grand baby coming to visit. Who know, I have to smile.
If you are trying to sell your home have you asked yourself; “What’s in my neighbors yard” It might determine “What’s not in your wallet“.

I once had a buyer reject a home because she didn’t like the cars that were parked on the street. Had one listing that was hard to sell because of a messy yard a block away. Yes I tell my buyers to walk the area, and pay attention to the neighborhood and block. It is important.
