On The Road to Irvine California

Looking back after a good climb

Looking back after a good climb

I’m going to be out of town and out of the heat for a few days. But Barbara will be here to hold down the desert fort. My daughter Suzi and her husband left Iowa on Monday and are finally arriving at Irvine, CA this evening.   He is driving the old cash for clunkers van without AC and she is following in their car.   It has been over 100 degrees all across the country.   Last night they were in Needles, CA and crossing the Mojavi Desert today was hopefully their last challenge before getting to Irvine.

Suzi is entering Med School.   It has been her goal for several years and it is coming to fruition.   Saturday morning is the “White coat ceremony”   I’m driving over to be there.   I’ll head out as soon as this is posted and spend the night somewhere in California.   I’ve decided to take the “southern” route and go through San Diego and up Interstate 5.     I could get there in one day, but the ceremony is at 11 am on Saturday and the thought of getting into Irvine on a Friday night after driving all day and the start of weekend traffic . . .

The photographer that lives inside me wants to have time to shoot and weather accordingly.   I hope he wins some of the battle.   Usually on a trip the other guy wins; the one that wants to get there.   It should be an interesting trip.

As luck would have it the statistics didn’t come out yesterday as I had hoped and it won’t be till Monday I’ll have time to get to them.   But you can see we will have more than 1200 close transactions for July, the highest this year and way better than last July.

Friday Morning in San Clamente

It’s a little after 6 am.   Got to San Clamente about 8:30 pm.   Found a Best Western and a McDs close by.   Processed a few of the shots I got yesterday.   It is cloudy out and the beach is about a block away.   It is in the 60′s.   I say that for everyone back in Tucson to breath deep.   When I got to the Mountains it cooled off so much I didn’t need the AC for the rest of the day.

I’ll take some time at the beach and hopefully get something to shot in the process.

Have a Great Day everyone.
