Salt water and Conventional Pools
Post Tags: conventional pools , salt water pools
Summer is here and the temps are in triple digits. Now it is that time of year when the people with a pool spend a lot of time in it and around it.
There are typically two types of pools. Conventional and Salt water.
Salt water pools don’t have the harsh chemicals that conventional pools require but they are not chemical free. They don’t tend to turn green (things don’t grow well in salt water pools). But they do seem to be slippery. That is the one complaint we hear most often about a salt water pool. This can be difficult if you play any kind of water sport in your backyard pool.
Because they tend to be low maintenance and they look great in the back yard they are very popular. But they are not the be all and end all of pools. Do your homework and study the difference between each before you decide to buy.
The conventional pools are still cheaper to build and most pools built are conventional pools. Check them both out. Make an informed decision with the help of a reputable pool company. And if you can wait till the off season you will get a better deal on your pool.
