Scott Street Griffin

Scott Street in downtown Tucson has been torn up for something like a year. It is now open and it has a totally different look and feel than before. It is a good change. Curb cuts to allow water to be diverted from the street to water the landscaping instead of going into the sewer system. New lighting, narrower street lanes, to provide more pedestrian traffic and landscaping.
There is also the new Griffin. There used to be others downtown, they were lost in a fire years ago.
Scott Street is an example of what urban renewal should be. More of this type of street renovation needs to be done in Tucson.
