Tucson AZ Real Estate After Dark

tucson sunsetTucson AZ Real Estate at night can be even more breathtaking than during the day. This is one of the “incredible” times of the year to live in Tucson. It has been a very busy week for the past 10 days. I even have had a couple of emails wondering if I were all right because there were no new posts. Besides this blog I have three others I write regularly. When there are no new posts on any of them . . . The reason is we have been very busy. The early winter visitor (snowbird) seasons has begun. We were so busy even I was out twice this weekend showing homes. Remember I’m the web guy. The one that takes pretty pictures and flies a desk. So you know things are busy when I get pressed into service taking clients out to see homes.

There weren’t enough hours in a day to get everything done. Sunday afternoon I was at one of our listings taking some new photos for that time of day. (I was also playing with a new lens and a couple of strobes). I thought I would be there an hour. Instead I was there over three hours and the sun was going down by the time I packed up and left the house.

tucson moonlightOn the way home I had to drive right past the La Encantada Shopping Area at Campbell and Skyline Dr. I have a spot there I like to stop and climb a rise to a great view of the city and the mountains. I was just about past the turn in when I looked to my left to see the city lights and saw the moon, clouds, sunset and the mountains with the glow of Tucson city lights. I quickly pulled in and headed to the ridge with my camera and tripod in tow.

tucson moonLast week I wrote a very short post on Tucson Views and how important they are in Tucson. Those are not only views of the mountains during the day, but city lights with starry nights and shadows of sentinel mountains surrounding the city.

It is very hard in the dark looking at a little tiny screen on the back of the camera to tell what the images look like. On that screen they might look great only to find when you get home they are not in focus or something else is “just not right”. But not this time. So I’m sharing with you just a few of the images I captured Sunday night.

moon over tucson Maybe you noticed (I hope you noticed) (You didn’t notice, did you?) I changed the picture at the top of the blog. It is one of the images I took that night. I changed the border color around the blog to match and took away the drop shadow from the top image.

These are the kinds of views called “Million Dollar Views” and yes there are some people that have paid over a million dollars for Tucson real estate just because of the views. Views just like these.

The weather in the winter is only one of the reasons people like to come to Tucson. The sheer beauty of the desert, the mountains and the city lights can add an amazing perspective of peace in ones life. I hope you enjoy these views.

  1. You have very worthwhile new banner photo. I am still trying to get the photo judging blog WordPress software installed and working.

  2. Dave Smith says:

    Thanks Jim,

This means a lot coming from you. Have a great weekend. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

  3. Can you give me some advice? I can’t get WordPress to upload into my GoDaddy mySQL data base. I have been trying on and off for two days.
