I hear a collective voice growing. The voice is saying “It is time to take back optimism” I have to agree; it is time. Time to put the past decade behind us, time to look forward with optimism.
We can promote the past and still move into the future. We can make a change in the collective attitude in our community. Everyday we can give energy to the optimism for Tucson.
I’m not talking about turning a blind eye to anything. I’m talking about taking the initiative to bring a positive attitude to our community.
Great the day and everyone in it with a smile.
See a bit of litter, pick it up. Yes, I know you didn’t leave it. But it reflects on all of us and our community.
Keep the trash in the car and put it in the can when you get where you are going. Don’t just throw it out the window.
It’s the small things that add up. I hope when we look back on this decade we can see that optimism won out and Tucson is a better place because it did.

What’s with these different looks every few hours, Dave?! Let us be, puleeze!
refreshing post.
I for one am so tired of all the gloom and doom and talk of the terrible decade behind us.
As Abe Lincoln said.
“Most folks are about as happy as they make up thier minds to be”
Ralph,
Abe was right, and it is time we all made up our minds to be happier
