The month is over on a Saturday. But, that’s not the deadline for entries of closed transactions into the Tucson MLS system. That won’t come until 8 am. on Wednesday Aug. 4, 2010. I expect we will see at least another hundred sales entered before the data pulling date on Wednesday.
Right now it is about 7 am. on Saturday. There are 721 closed transactions in the system. We can expect any where from 100 to 150 more to be entered. It looks like we will close the month under 1000 closed transactions. It will be the lowest number of sales in a July since the Tucson MLS started reporting only 13 areas instead of the entire system.
I’ll keep you posted as the weekend and data entry deadline approaches.
A final note: The June report had 1170 closed transactions; that number is now 1207. Two of those were added yesterday. Thirty seven additions at a fine of $250 per transaction means $9250 in fines were levied in June for late entry. Hum.
