Not All Declines are Bad News

I’ve been out of town in Las Vegas for ReBlogworld and Blogworld conference. I got back late on Monday and turned on the radio to catch up on a little news. I was listening to 89.9 Arizona Public Radio when I heard something like this:

“The Tucson Real Estate Market continues to have more bad news as inventories continued to decline for the 8th straight month of 2008.”

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Who is writing this stuff. Declining inventories of homes on the Tucson Real Estate Market is one of the positive thing going on at the moment.

I have more to write and reading to catch up on but I didn’t want to wait any longer to get this out. Increased inventories through 06 and 07 was one of the real issues we had creating headlines like “Homes Languishing on the Market” Even homes that weren’t built yet and were for sale were having a hard time being sold.

The flowers don’t have anything to do with this post. I thought you might all like to see something pretty in the middle of your week. I know there is a lot going on and lots of doubt and worry. As you go about your day remember for most of us there isn’t anything we can do about the current economic situation at the national level. Don’t miss out on the small opportunities to observe the beauty around us and the joys they can bring during times like these.

I also agree with you I think the Tucson real estate market has touched bottom and the trend is active listings are going down not up.
