Tucson River Walk

Tucson Upscale Urban Living

From concept to reality Tucson River Walk Luxury Town homes are an adventure in upscale urban living. From this picture taken today with a monsoon storm approaching you can see downtown Tucson and A mountain in the background. Upscale urban living is somewhat new for this part of the Tucson Foothills. We first visited this new location on February 8, 2007 at the grand opening. Billed on their own website as Luxury Town Homes but listed as Single Family Residences The Tucson River Walk is a marked difference from anything seen in Tucson to date.

Exterior unfinishedThe best way to describe these homes is Single Family Residence with a Town home lifestyle.

Part of the confusion over the designation can be attributed to the unique way in which each of these homes is constructed. Typically a town-home has at least one shared wall with another home.

These homes have their own separate walls, but they do have a shared exterior. The construction is 2 X 6 for all exterior walls. There are two separate walls side by side for each unit approx 1 to 1 1/2 inches apart. The exterior covering of styrofoam, mesh and Stucco blends seamlessly as it flows from unit to unit. The description of Town home lifestyle means:

  • the owners are directly responsible for the roof and
  • their individual courtyard landscaping.

Tucson River Walk Luxury Homes Phase 1

There will be a total of 118 homes when this community is completed. The construction of these homes is broken into 5 phases. Build time from slab is 9 to 10 months. Phase 1 with 32 units has 30 sold units and the last 2 completed and ready for sale. They are starting to take reservation for Phase 2. Changes are being made for Phase 2. The floorplans for this next phase make the bedrooms larger. The optional roof cabana is to be standard and the cabanas in phase 1 were metal and the new ones will be stucco.

Because of these changes we haven’t included floorplans. When the new floorplans are available we will have then in PDF format for viewing, downloading and saving. There is a quick summary of features at the end of this post.

Tucson River Walk Luxury Town Homes Summary

• Luxury homes with private courtyards
• 2 or 3-car garages + Optional 4th bedroom
• Private elevators in each home
• Pre-wire with multi-media panel
• 24-hour guard-gate entrance and site surveillance
• Fitness center including saltwater pool & spa
• Upscale shopping and restaurants nearby

I don’t usually like pictures of narrow hall ways or stairs but when the stair treads are solid walnut I make an exception.

The exterior colors are very bold and Southwestern in nature. The interior designs are right out of the very Urban East. If you are moving to Tucson but don’t want to give up the style of home you had in the East, Tucson River Walk Luxury Town Homes might be just what you are looking for in your new Tucson Home.

    Pat,

Since I wrote this initial post they have started Phase II and have made some changes. The 4th floor cabanas are now standard features.

The pricing and availability have changed as well. I’m out of town till the 26th. When I get back I’ll post an update on the changes and pricing.

Please let me know the range of prices for these and are they open to view this Sunday , Feb. 3? Thanks, Judy
