Tucson Property Taxes Figured in Arrears

Green Cactus With Thorns

Green Cactus With Thorns

You see this cactus to the right. It is green and it has thorns on the end of each projecting arm. It is symmetrical to some extent and there were other leaves in those projections I removed with my fingers getting stuck only once.

I was going to make this a short post based on a question I saw in the letters to the editor this week in the “Arizona Daily Star” asking why property taxes were going up if home values were going down.  Property taxes in Tucson are figured in arrears and it takes a couple of years for them to catch up.  When values were going up taxes were trailing behind.  Now values are going down and taxes are going up because they are trailing behind.

I’m not a tax attorney and I’m not giving tax advise.  I sincerely hope this disclaimer is sufficient to explain I only know for sure the cactus to the right is green.  It has thorns at the end of each arm, leaf, projection, whatever.  Those thorns will stick you if you get too close to them.

I also know that if  you are wearing open toed sandals you don’t want to stand to close to them while bending down to take an over head symmetrical picture as the sun is going down in the West.  Or for that matter any time of day.

It has been a very long day and I’m trying to keep a promise to myself to do my best to post something of interest and informative every day for both readers.  I hope you found the cactus of interest (I think it is agave, but I’m not sure) And the information about the letter to the editor of no value what so ever.

Good Night John Boy
