Take ordinary things, put them together in inordinate ways to create new ways of getting things done. The results: an explosion of creativity and innovation.
Maybe the old term “Necessity is the mother of invention” is more familiar than “When Cows Shower”

When Cows Shower We Change How We Think
I like the way it shakes us out of usual thought patterns. The four purple slippers on the bath mat are a great touch.
Getting the economy moving again isn’t just about restoring consumer confidence. Our economy for the past decade was built on a house of cards. There was no solid economic foundation. It was driven by consumer over confidence and a total disregard for reality.
I used to think facts were more important than perception. I was wrong. Reality is often shaped by perception not the facts. The perception now is one of pessimism and fear. There is however, great optimism when it comes to the new administration and their roll up our sleeves and get the economy moving again attitude.
Though lately they have been spreading the doom and gloom message I think it is for the purpose of using the message as a 2 by 4 to get the attention of Congress. “Congress, this is not a business as usual time, you need to act and you need to act NOW” is the message.
But the general public might not be picking up on that intended purpose. Today I saw one suggestion that we “Out Source Congress“. It did make me smile. I hope we don’t buy into the extended doom and gloom message.
It isn’t all about the Congress and what they do or what they don’t do. I hope President Elect Obama doesn’t forget the roots of his message. He didn’t win the presidency by conventional means. His ability to raise funds for his campaign and the spreading of his message of Change wasn’t done in the conventional way. He accomplished what he did and was elected because WE THE PEOPLE got behind the man and the message.
He is the messenger of Change, the Leader of country in just over a week. We, We, WE can make the changes needed to get our country and economy moving again. The congress (government) can facilitate this, but they CAN’T DO IT. Only WE can do it.
When the rest of the world turn pessimistic it is time to become an optimist. It is time to be creative and innovative in how we live and think. Too long have we become comfortable with the idea of someone doing IT for us. We don’t have to wait for something to happen, WE can make it happen.
Our country is ready to do great things. Our future President has promised Change and opportunity. But it is up to US. It is time for us to:
Take ordinary things, put them together in inordinate ways to create new ways of getting things done. The results: an explosion of creativity and innovation.

I think your right. The bush years are quickly coming to a close and the congress had better listen to Obama. Up here in Canada we face some of the same problems just as of late. They (the senate in we have in canada) have to let go of the notion that we have no debt.
